Dr. Mahmoud Esmat's initiative, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, in coordination with the Ministry of Industry to require factories to install solar panels to cover 25% of the total energy each factory needs, has received wide acclaim from energy experts in Egypt, who described this initiative as a serious step in an exceptional phase the world is going through due to the global energy crisis. Dr. Mohamed Mousa Omran, former Head of the Electricity Regulatory Authority and Consumer Protection, confirms that requiring factories to adopt solar energy is an important step that needs a clear implementation model so that it does not turn into a burden instead of an opportunity. Omran added, through his official page on the social media platform Facebook, that in light of the Prime Minister's directives to expedite the launch of an initiative to support the transition of factories and homes towards solar energy, we are facing a real turning point in the path of the energy sector in Egypt.
